With a background in finance and a passion for community, Gab has worked for the past 30 years in local government.

Having grown up in a county town near Warrnambool, she realised very early on that communities that worked together and helped each other out in times of difficulty were always the stronger for it.

Heading to Melbourne after leaving school, she gained qualifications in Business Studies, majoring in Local Government and then worked for a number of inner Melbourne Councils before prioritising the raising of a family and working part-time, using her organisational skills to provide training, networking and support to finance staff around our state.

Moving to the Mornington Peninsula 20 years ago with her family, she has been actively involved with a number of local schools, her local parish and for the past 6 years, as a member of the Peninsula Voice Committee, helping to raise conversations about issues that affect our community and hoping to help make a positive difference to her neighbourhood and beyond.
